Haven't got time to travel to a regular volunteering placement? Haven't got any transport? Not much spare time? Don't like leaving the house?

Thats no excuse not to volunteer!

Here is where you will find details of volunteering opportunities that can be done from the comfort of your own home, or in your local community

Set up your own mini business to raise vital funds for Save the Children.

You can do this opportunity anywhere in Wiltshire - and you can do it with a friend! What you would be doing is setting up arrangements with local churches, schools, colleges, playgroups, pubs, chipshops etc! and arrange for Save the Children's charity greetings card to be sold there. You would manage the arrangement to make sure everything was ok - control the stock, collect and bank the money at regular intervals. Full training will be given and ongoing support will be offered.

This would be great experience to put on your CV or college application form, or would just be a really lovely thing to do! Please get in touch if you fancy getting involved - even if you can only think of one place where the cards could be sold where you live - one is better than none!

Knit a chicken a jumper! - Seriously!!chicken_jumper.jpg

Ask your granny for a pair of knitting needles, or get down to your local charity shop and pick up a pair for a few pence and learn a great new skill whilst making a lovely warm  jumper for a chicken! It all for a really good cause. Click the picture of the cute rescue battery hen for the pattern and more details about how your handiwork will be put to good use!

Fundraise!

Just about every charitable cause you can think of would love some extra help to raise some money, and it doesn't have to involve shaking a tin in the high street (though if you are interested in this there are plenty of opportunities!)

You could organise a party, or carboot sale, or even a sponsored abseil to raise money for the charity of your choice - let your imagination run wild!! Get in touch and we will do everything we can to support you
